The Core Strategy sets out the long-term spatial vision for Mineral and Waste development in Berkshire and the strategic policies and proposals required to deliver that vision

What stage are we working on now?

The Core Strategy was published, prior to submission, in September 2008. The Strategy was then submitted in February 2009 and Hearings commenced in June 2009. After the first week the Hearings were adjourned and a decision was made to withdraw the Core Strategy. The Secretary of State formally requested the withdrawal of the Core Strategy in January 2010.

 We are currently working on a revised Core Strategy which will go through either one or two further stages of consultation before it is published and re-submitted.
