Minerals and Waste Strategic Environmental Assessment/Sustainability Appraisal
The Joint Minerals and Waste Local Development Documents (JMWLDDs) will be subject to a joint Strategic Environmental Assessment/Sustainability Appraisal. (SA). The SA will examine how different options in the Core Strategy help promote sustainable development and reflect sustainability objectives. The SA Scoping Reports on the Joint Minerals and Waste Local Development Documents are now available for download. The Minerals and Waste Core Strategy Final SA Report is also available to download.
Berkshire Landscape Character Assessment
The Berkshire Landscape Character Assessment (October 2003) classifies the character of the landscape in Berkshire into 14 main categories. The Assessment can be helpful when considering recommendations for the area’s future conservation and management.
Environmental Data
As part of the SA process a range of environmental data has been collected to paint a picture of what the state of the environment in Berkshire was at the beginning of this LDF process.
